My Wix Website

     I have used it for nearly a year since I created my e-profolio on wix, and compared to the beginning, I am really proficient a lot. After exploring step by step during this semester, I learned how to set up a personal website and adjust the overall design to make it easier for readers to read. Moreover, the most importantly, I think this platform provides us a place that we can share our thoughts and essays on it.

     The greatest difference from the previous semester that I was busy getting acquainted with the various functions of the website is that this semester I have become more familiar, hence I can have more time to reflect on the benefits of this website. First, I think Wix e-portfolio project enhance my skills other than writing, such as it can show          my creativity of typesetting. Second, this semester we started publishing journals,             which made me feel that it is not just a website for handing in homework; instead,            it is more like a secret base that allows me record my life. Besides, through peer assessment I can know which part needs to be improved to make it more complete.

     However, although I am more conversant with the website that compared with the past, there are still some challenges for me. For example, when I want to put some illustrations in the article, the problem of typesetting is often a big trouble that I will encounter. Since every time when I put a slightly larger picture, my text will become messed up. In the end, I can only put some smaller pictures beside my essay. Additionally, I still feel confused about some of the functions of the wix website, so the layout style of each of my essays is almost the same, and I can merely put more effort into the title text like changing the font color or style in order to catch people’s eyes.

     In sum, I think the experience of creating the wix e-profolio is really special and I also gain a lot of benefits in this project. Thus, I think I will continue to do this in the future not as a task should be completed, but as a channel to record my mood diary.
